The franchise cricket team Gujarat Titans is based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. The Gujarat Titans were established in 2021 and play in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Their home stadium is the Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera. The establishment is claimed by CVC Capital Partners.[4] The group is captained by Hardik Pandya and trained by Ashish Nehra.[5][6] The Gujarat Titans are the momentum IPL champions, having come out on top for their lady championship in the 2022 season.

The Gujarat Titans have decided to keep three players ahead of the huge auction in 2022. All-rounder Hardik Pandya was drafted for ₹15 crore, bowler Rashid Khan was snapped for ₹15 crore and batsman Shubman Gill was drafted for ₹8 crore.

After paying 38 crore to draft three players, the Gujarat Titans had the remaining 52 crore before the 2022 mega auction because the franchise is allowed a total of 90 crore.

They had 22 open spaces (for building a crew of 25 players) and seven of these could be abroad players.

In addition, Gujarat Titans have added 18 new players to their roster through the two-day IPL 2022 mega auction. Their most expensive purchase was New Zealand fast bowler Lockie Ferguson, whose base price was 2 crore. They spent 10 crore on him. On day one of the IPL 2022 mega auction, the Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans paid 33.15 crore rupees to acquire seven players, including three international players.

On day one of the mega auction, Lockie Ferguson, Rahul Tewatia, Mohammad Shami, R Sai Kishore, Abhinav Manohar Sadarangani, Jason Roy, and Noor Ahmad were drafted for $10 million, $2 million, and $30 million, respectively.

After day 1 of the closeout, the group had the leftover satchel of ₹18.85 crore for day 2 of the super sale.
