Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) is a franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL) based in Mohali, Punjab. The team is co-owned by Bollywood actress Preity Zinta, Ness Wadia, Mohit Burman, and Karan Paul. The team is currently captained by KL Rahul and coached by Australian cricketer Darren Lehmann.
KXIP has been part of the IPL since its inception in 2008 but is yet to win the tournament. The team has reached the playoffs on a few occasions but has not been able to go all the way. The team is known for its strong batting lineup, with KL Rahul, Chris Gayle, and Mayank Agarwal forming the core of the batting unit.
